I did a 9 mile LSR from the NISV with the Sunday slower crew. There were 17 of us today! The pace was slow (11:15 per mile) for two reasons. 1) I have been training hard for three weeks 2) The heatwave! I was wearing my Vapofly Eikdens - I noticed that they were a little unstable on the off road sections. The consequence was a badly bruised ankle which emerged on Monday.
I ran to the riverfront, i did the parkrun at an easy pace, i ran home I had a meeting with Mark Roberts of M2 estate agents at 10:15 so I had to pace it and time it right - which I did!
In the morning I did Body conditioning and Body Blast with Tracey In the afternoon i did "Martyn's" Tredegar Park session - it was led by Steve Crowther with assistance from Nick Cadman & Mandy Sharp. It was very hot. Steve tailored a session so that we could run mostly in the shade.
I did the Rose Inn series Race 4 I am very tired due to overtraining. Also when I woke after my afternoon nap I had sore right fooot. Tha pain is on top of the foot. I wore my racing flats (the green pair of type A9). I warmed up well and decided to run the race. Obviously I am very slow at the moment and I finished in.. 36:26. I was 6th out of 6 in my age group. I also got lapped (just) for the first time ever.
am I did body conditioning. There was no abs blast session today as George wasn't feeling very well. pm I did a 5K session on the Caerleon Cycle Path. In order to make it more enjoyable I used my 3 * 700 + 3 * 300 (lp) workout.
