I did a 10.5 miles LSR. 11 of us set out. We were doing different distances so after about 6 miles it was just me, Jamie and Becky. Becky cut off at the University to go home and Jamie and I finished. I was quite tired towards the end with a bit of a sore ankle.
I did the Newport parkrun at an easy pace but with typical indiscipline I put in a "relatively fast" kilometer between 3K and 4K because I heard footsteps coming up behind me. My time was 30:11.
I did the Oldbury 10 mile road race. I was still a bit leggy from the Weston Prom race but I got round OK, albeit in a rather slow time. Still, two events in such a short space of time is quite a good achievement considering my current state of fitness.
I did the Weston Prom run - race 1 of 9. I started easily noting that Dave Fereday was in front of me. I started to work a bit harded once we turned at the bottom end of the prom for the second time. My last two miles were a bit quicker than the first three. I finished in 42:47 Dave Finished in 43:54
I did a 10 miles LSR at 11 mm pace with Kate Parry-Jones, Lisa Marie Williams, Laura Rendell , Jamie Fraser, Julie Bates, Triona, Hannah, Karim and Huw Evans.
I did Body Conditioning and Body Blast. I was hoping to do the Tredegar Park session in the evening but my hip and ankle were too sore. I had to miss it. I have a massage with Daniela tomorrow
I warmed up for the Crooked Mile. I was scheduled to run in race 2. I did a 1.22 mile warm up. This is the evening that Steve Crowther had a heart attack and "died" after the finish line. Several intrepid runners brouught him round with CPR. The paramedics arrived and whisked him to hospital where Steve had stents fitted.
